Cookie the Baby Mini Panda Bear

Hi There!

Wow it's THURSDAY already! How did that happen so soon? I feel like it's only Tuesday! lol

We have a new baby mini bear available for adoption from our website, and he is just the cutest little thing!

This is Cookie - a baby miniature bear that stands just 3" tall. I used extra dense cashmere fabric in black and tan, which I really love. Jack painted gorgeous blue eyes for Cookie, and gave him fantastic details.

You can see more pics and read all about Cookie on our website here:

Elton the Bear

Hi There!

We have a new bear available for adoption, and I just love him!

This is Elton, a beautiful big bear that stands just over 16" tall, and is made from fabulous long cream mohair that has a dark brown backing. I love this fur - it is so gorgeous and soft. Jack painted really pretty green eyes for Elton, and I love how he created the needle felted wool paw pads and eye areas for him. I think he has just a fantastic overall unique look.

You can read more about Elton, see more photos, or adopt him from our website here:

Hooray! We finished the biggest part of our flooring project over the weekend. Just in time for the Trick-or-Treaters to come knocking at the door, so that worked out really well. We had a lot of kids this year, and Ozzie had Halloween overload I think, but we all survived. We had Ozzie behind a baby gate that we use to separate him from the cats, but the kids could still see him. We heard a lot of "Your dog is very big", "Your dog is very loud", and "Is that a big dog or what?". Hopefully one of these days he'll be well mannered enough to join in the festivities.

I'm off to get our dinner out of the oven. Hope you're having a great week!

Hugs,
Erin

Itty Bitty Baby Mini Now Available

Hi!

Jack and I have a sweet new 3" baby mini bear available for adoption from our website! His name is Bitty, and he is made from bubble gum pink micro plush. Jack gave him bright green eyes, and lots of detail. I think he's just the cutest little thing!

You can see more photos and read more about Bitty here:

www.whiteforestbears.com/available_critters.html

This is the first time I have used the micro plush fabric, and I enjoyed it. I used a faux suede type material for his paw pads, which was also a first, and I think it turned out really lovely.

Gosh it's almost Halloween already! I'm looking forward to carving our pumpkin as I love to toast the pumpkin seeds. That is my favorite part of Halloween, other than having an excuse to eat way too much chocolate!

Erin

Luudo, a Custom White Bear

Good Morning and Happy Sunday!

This is Luudo, a beautiful girl that we created for one of our fantastic collectors in Singapore...

Luudo is a 9" bear made from soft and curly white mohair. Jack painted really pretty green eyes for her, and she has such a cute expression. Our collector requested that this bear be similar to her black bear Kuugo, but in white. When her super adorable daughter saw the photos of the then unnamed white bear, she said that her name should be Luudo since she is Kuugo's girlfriend. lol! Isn't that cute?

I think Kuugo and Luudo make a lovely pair, don't you?

This weekend Jack and I are working on putting down our new flooring. Yippie! So far it's going well - by the time we had everything prepped it was after 4 before we started laying down the planks, so we'll pick it up again this morning. Jack has his saw set up outside to do the cuts, and it gets dark out too early this time of year to be able to work late in the evening. I think today we will work on the floors for a while, and then back to our real jobs - Bears! lol.

Erin

A Brand New Design! Baby Mini Adam!

This is Adam, a baby mini bear that stands just 3" tall.....

He's small in size, but big on personality and detail. I thought that our 5" mini style bears were small, but this new design is so much smaller that we just had to call them "baby mini's".

Adam is currently available for adoption on our website here, where you can also read more about him and see more photos:

www.whiteforestbears.com/available_critters.html

I'm always so excited when we debut a new design that I'm not sure how Jack puts up with me. But I guess after 16 years of dealing with me he is either (1) use to it, or (2) good at ignoring it. :)

I'd love to get your opinion of Adam if you have a sec!

Erin

Bella, a White Forest Spirit Bear

Good Morning!

I have an extra special bear to share with you today. Several months ago a lovely collector from New York emailed us about the passing of her beloved Lutino Cockatiel named Bella. We could tell by her email just how much Bella meant to her. The collector requested that we create a bear in the spirit of Bella, which we were excited to do. We wanted to create something that would reflect her beautiful colors and give our collector a wonderful memory of Bella each time she looked at her.

Here is the beautiful Bella the Lutino Cockatiel (on her favorite teddy), and Bella the White Forest Bear:

I used long and soft mohair in white, which I hand-dyed a blend of swirly yellow hues while leaving plenty of white showing. I'm so glad we chose this fur to use as it is fun to style, and Jack gave her a cute little tuft of hair on top. Her paw pads and eye areas are needle felted wool, and her nose and mouth are embroidered with perle cotton. I love the color Jack chose for the paws/nose/eye areas - it's grey and has a little hint of peach to it.

I really love Bella's eyes. The collector said that her eyes appeared black until getting up close to the bird, and then their true color of deep red was apparent. Jack was able to recreate this effect for the bear, and they are fantastic! Here is a little closer photo showing the eyes:

Of course, we can't leave out the orange cheek "rouge" of Bella. We wanted to make sure we got them in just the right place in relation to her eyes.

Jack and I both feel so honored to have been asked to create this bear. Not only was she really fun and exciting to create, we were able to create a special piece for a super sweet person.

Confetti the Mini Bear Now Available

Hi There!

Jack and I are excited to introduce you to our new miniature bear Confetti, who is available for adoption from our website!

Confetti stands 5" tall, and is full of character. I used dense Schulte mohair, which I love as it's so thick and soft, and hand-dyed it a blend of different shades of purple and pink. Jack created gorgeous emerald green eyes for Confetti, and he also gave him lovely needle felted wool paw pads.

You can see more photos and read more about Confetti here:

www.whiteforestbears.com/available_critters.html

I'm off to trace out a bear and hopefully enjoy a little of our California sunshine while my fray check is drying!

Hugs,
Erin
